V02.29.41 - Time zone in user settings and unified display of refueling quantity
Time zone in user settings
The new time zone setting lets you specify the time zone in which time information is displayed in alarm emails.
The selected time zone is used to display the timestamp of an alarm in the email accordingly. This ensures you always see alarm times in your relevant local time – regardless of the time zone in which the data was originally recorded.
Two options are available in the user settings:
Automatic: The time zone is automatically determined based on your current location. Each time you log in, the system checks your local time zone and updates the setting if necessary. This is especially useful if you travel frequently or work from different locations.
Manual: You can select a fixed time zone. This will remain in effect regardless of your current location. This allows you, for example, to continue receiving all alert emails with the timestamps of your desired home or company time zone, even while traveling.

This setting makes it easier to understand alarm times in emails and eliminates the need for manual conversion between different time zones.

Unified display of the refueling quantity
The refueling report and the vehicle's fuel history now determine and display the refueling quantity unified, based on the most reliable available data source.
For vehicles with FMS data, the detected refueling process is initially recorded as a percentage change in the tank level. If the tank volume is also stored in the vehicle master data, the amount of fuel added in liters can be calculated from this.
Since this calculation is based on sensor data, its accuracy can depend on the quality of the stored vehicle data, as well as on external influences (for example, a tilted vehicle).
If a DKV fuel card is used during refueling and the transaction can be assigned to the vehicle, the actual amount of fuel purchased in liters is available. This value is independent of the vehicle's fuel level measurement and therefore represents the most reliable data source.
The amount of fuel displayed in the portal is therefore determined according to the following priority:
Fuel quantity from the DKV fuel card transaction
Quantity calculated from the FMS tank level in liters

This ensures that the most accurate available value is automatically displayed for each refueling process.
Using a DKV fuel card therefore offers an additional advantage: Even with telemetry-enabled vehicles, the exact amount of fuel purchased can be used, instead of having to calculate it based on sensor data.
